Our sector labels group the way buyers look for applications. SIC classifies economic activity, so a navigation label does not always have a single code.
We checked these groupings against the Companies House condensed SIC list on 27 October 2026. The numbers below identify broad divisions or groups for navigation mapping, not company filing advice.

| Construction & Property | 41–43; 68 | Combines construction and real estate activities; these are separate SIC groupings. |
| Retail & E-commerce | 47 | Retail is an economic activity; e-commerce is a sales channel. Some wholesale businesses belong under 46. |
| Healthcare | 86; 87–88 where relevant | Human health; residential care and social work are adjacent activities rather than interchangeable categories. |
| Legal Services | 69.1 | Legal activities; distinct from legal work performed inside another industry. |
| Financial Services | 64–66 | Financial and insurance activities; Insurance is also surfaced separately for browsing. |
| Insurance | 65; 66.2 | Insurance, reinsurance and pension funding; insurance-related auxiliary activities may sit under 66.2. |

| Hospitality & Travel | 55–56; 79 | Accommodation and food services plus travel agency and reservation activities; passenger transport sits elsewhere. |

The 2026 revision
ONS has published SIC 2026, while operational implementation is phased. This site’s mapping uses the Companies House list checked above and should be reviewed as that operational list changes. It does not claim to be a complete SIC 2026 crosswalk.

Horizontal applications such as CRM and HR describe a business function, not the industry of the buyer. Legal Services appears in both menus deliberately: one is the industry, the other is the application.
